I help families, couples, and multigenerational groups plan unforgettable vacations to Disney destinations and beyond.
Whether it’s your first trip or your tenth, I’ll take care of the details so you can focus on what matters most - time together, shared laughter, and memories that last long after you’ve unpacked.
One of the most exciting parts of planning every Disney vacation is deciding where to stay. Our resort of choice for the past two years, and quite possibly for our next trip to the magic, has been Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort. This resort has been a longtime favorite of ours ever since our first stay in 2011. As its name implies, Caribbean Beach evokes the laid-back vibe of a tropical paradise – towering palm trees, beautiful flowers, bright-colored buildings, and white sand beaches are plentiful around the resort premises.
Rooms at the resort are located in 5 different villages, each of which represents an island in the Caribbean; specifically, Jamaica, Aruba, Martinique, Barbados, and Trinidad.
Buildings in both the Barbados and Trinidad sections are coral-colored.
Light blue buildings in the Martinique section.
The buildings in the Jamaica section are painted a vibrant yellow.
Buildings in different shades of pink make up the Aruba section of the resort.
Perhaps the most fun aspect of a stay at Caribbean Beach is the opportunity to swim in their feature pool, the Fuentes del Morro Pool. This incredibly themed space is modeled after the many fortresses built on Caribbean islands in the 16th century for protection against attacks by pirates and buccaneers. There are two water slides and cannons spraying water at swimmers in the main pool, as well as a shipwreck splash area complete with miniature slides and exciting water features for younger guests.
One of the key reasons we will likely choose Caribbean Beach for our next Walt Disney World vacation is having access to the newest form of transportation – the Disney Skyliner. Debuting at the end of 2019, this amazing new gondola system offers guests a fun and efficient way to travel from four of the Resort hotels (Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort, Disney’s Pop Century Resort, Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, and Disney’s Riviera Resort) to Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Epcot’s International Gateway entrance. Resort rooms at Caribbean Beach are within easy walking distance of two Skyliner stations, making a stay here more convenient than ever. We have absolutely loved taking advantage of riding the Skyliner on our Hollywood Studios and Epcot park days. It is one of our favorite perks of staying here!
Although it is not a true Caribbean island vacation, a stay at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort promises a taste of that experience. Meticulous attention to detail and immersive theming throughout the property easily capture the essence of a relaxing tropical getaway. After spending time in the theme parks, it is so neat to return to this resort and feel like we’ve escaped somewhere else entirely!
