Get ready for a frightfully fun movie night when you whip up these adorable Mike Wazowski and Sulley Oreo truffles to pair with a viewing of Monsters, Inc. or Monsters University. They’re almost too cute to eat!
MIKE WAZOWSKI AND SULLEY OREO TRUFFLES
INGREDIENTS
- 1 package of Oreos
- 8 oz. cream cheese, softened
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1 cup green melting wafers
- 1 cup blue melting wafers
- 2 tbsp. Crisco shortening
- Large and small candy eyes
- Purple sugar sprinkles
DIRECTIONS
- Add Oreos to a blender or food processor and pulse until they are crushed into fine crumbs.
- Mix crushed Oreos, cream cheese, and vanilla extract in a large bowl with an electric mixer until a dough has formed.
- Using a cookie scoop, scoop dough and shape into 1-inch balls. Place them on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Chill truffles in the refrigerator for about 2 hours. In the meantime, prep the decor for Mike and Sulley.
- After the dough has chilled, begin melting the wafers. Place each color in a microwave-safe bowl with 1 tbsp. of Crisco and heat 30 seconds a time, until smooth.
- Dip the truffles in the melted wafers until they are completely coated. Immediately add one large candy eye on the green truffles (for Mike Wazowski) and two small eyes and a light dusting of purple sprinkles on the blue truffles (for Sulley).
- Return the cookie sheet to the refrigerator and let the truffles set for about 30 minutes. Then enjoy!
